A hidden garden
Every time we visit our local gardening centre, we pass this incredible display. Owners of this house have really created a spectacle for by passers, right next to the road. I always have to stop and admire it. The place is packed with stone statues and ornaments and the gate is very impressive. These pictures do not even show it all. I would be so curious to see how their garden looks behind the walls, but so far it has stayed hidden.

Wow, they really aren´t people who are into understatement, now are they? And I can understand why you have the urge to go look inside. Maybe they have open-garden-days once a year were you live. I have been able to have a peak at quite a few hidden gardens this way last year in my hometown.
Aivan ihania kuvia omasta puutarhastasi ja tuollaiset salaiset puutarhat ovat aina kiehtoneet minuakin!Niin runsaan oloista juuri tuollaista haluaisin itsellenikin!

Ihana salainen puutarha. Miksei Suomessa ole tuollaisia portteja edes? Kyllä minäkin haluaisin kurkata sisälle..
Meillä ja tehty puutarhahommia koko päivä ja tuntuu ettei valmista tule millään.
@marianne: I know they have the open garden scheme in the UK but I had no idea it exists in the Netherlands. I haven't seen it yet in my neighborhood though. Would be great if they had!

Kiva löytää sun ihana blogisi! Sinulla on todella kaunis koti ja puutarha. Naapurusi puutarha näyttää myös upealta...Ehkä heillä on oma puutarhuri??
Tänään on kaunis sää, joten jatkamme puutarhahommiamme kotona ja/tai mökillä!
Kivoja uutisia!Tänne on tänään luvattu sadetta (tosin myös ukkostakin).Luonto suorastaan kiljuu vettä,vettä!Siileille ollaan laitettu kaksi juomapaikkaa pihalle,toivottavasti ovat löytäneet ne.Säälittää kun reppanat jo liikkuvat päivälläkin etsimässä ruokaa ja juomista...Heippa taas,menen pihalle tähyilemään taivasta ja esittämään sadetanssin:)
Ihan mielettömän näköinen fasadi puutarhassa! Olen varma että muuri kätkee sisälleen salaisuuksia :-) Ja just sellaisten pähkäileminen on elämänsuola!

This garden reminds me off the film The Secret garden, beautiful the statue and the wall.
I know there are open garden days in Zuid-Holland. You can read about it in the local papers (the Leidsche dagblad organize once a year an open garden weekend near by Leiden) and you can go to the site of Groei en Bloei magazine for more open gardens. The 21 of june there is a fair in Noordwijk-binnen and you can also visit 28 gardens in Noordwijk.

Have to keep my eyes open when I browse the local newspapers and I will check that website.
Behind those walls definitely Paradise must be and that archangel is watching over it!! :D
Oh, I would be curious as well to see those hidden treasures.
