Old cheese mould
This is an old(ish) Dutch cheese mould, or in Dutch kaasmaker. We found it from a second hand shop in Lisse and liked it as an object, even before we knew what is was. Funny enough, we use it as a decoration in our living room. It sits right next to our Indian box and I reckon they fit together just fine, although they are worlds apart.

Erittäin kaunis esine!Tuo on teidän olohuoneen hyllyllä,eikö olekin?Olen nähnyt sen mutta en ole "hokannut" sitä aiemmin :)
On olohuoneen hyllylla. Ei me kumpikaan ensin tiedetty mika esine tama on. Yksi toinen kaupan asiakas tunnisti sen. Minusta se on ihanan kulahtanut ja on melkein kuin modernia taidetta :-)
This is a very decorative and nice item. I also would love having a mould like that in my house! I think this one can be used as a vase for flowers too.
Actually I have used it as a vase, or as a vase cover more like it, as it is not water proof. Looks very nice, especially with white flowers :-)
I do have such a mold and would like to make chees,,does someone has a reasonable easy reciept ??
