"Madonna shop"

Few pictures from a local antique shop that has a huge section dedicated to religious statues. They range from very colourful and huge examples, which are taller than me, to tiny pure white ones. Anyway, this is where we got our Madonnas from and I have a funny feeling we will be back for more...

I came here from Something White. I like your blog, nice pictures. Can you tell me where I can find the shop in Leiden (blog december) with the furniture. I live nearby Leiden and I want to visit it because there are nice things.
My english is not very good I hope you can read it.
Hartelijke groeten,
Marja.

I grew up in the south of the Netherlands (Limburg) and I'm used to 'Catholic'-religious items. But maybe in other parts of the Netherlands this might be less common. Nice shop.

There are hardly any Catholics in Finland, so to me these religious items are quite special, not something I grew up with :-)

Hi Marja, your English sounds perfect to me, maar je kunt ook in het Nederlands reageren als je wil :-)

Het straatje heet "Diefsteeg", but I do not remember the name of the shop. Apparently they get a lot of stuff from Belgium and France. They have lovely things, wish we had more space :-)

Hello!

Just out of curiosity do you know if your wonderful Madonna shop sells on-line? Your blog is pure joy, we have similar passions!

Hi Dona, unfortunately they do not sell online, they don't even have a website. The shop is open only on Saturdays. I have a feeling this is only a hobby for the lady who owns the shop.
