Let there be light

We like to mix old and new, especially modern lamps with older traditional furniture. We found this understated no frills Italian ceiling lamp after a long search. It looks like it was made for our living room and it gives beautiful, almost ambient, light. Perfect.

Now we still need to find a new dining room ceiling lamp, which is proving to be quite difficult...

By the way, does anyone know the name of this flower? I have no clue but it looks and smells gorgeous.

Nice lamp! I know the flower but not the name. I can look it up for you, just let me know if you still want to know and no one has told you in the mean time.
Greetings, M

Hola!

Saludos, Ana!

@ Marja & Ana: Thank you! You both were correct! I googled the names and hey presto, there it was, with Violieren being the Dutch name :-) You ladies know your stuff with plants :-)

@ Anja: Yes, it is Tolomeo :-) My boyfriend "inherited" this floor model from his uncle.

I was admiring the lamp too.A very stylish design that you will never get bored of. Violieren and red roses where the first flowers my husband ever gave me. So I have nice memory's of them. They smell gourgous!
